How We Met -
As pathedic as this might sound, We've known each other since we were about 11, he moved up around the corner from me in 7thgrade but his grandparents had already moved in so for about 2 years before that he would come up to visit his house that was being built and stay with his grandparents, so he would come to community functions and the pool and shit and I would hang out with him and crap and over the years we became best friends.
The Name
- When we came up with the idea to start making techno we needed a name, so for a little while we were "Cyco Rabbit" we didn't like that name much but couldn't think of anything, so we kept it for a little while and made 3 songs under that name which to this day few people have heard, we continued to make music until ScreamerClauz got a really bad case of the flu right around Christmas time, now ScreamerClauz has always had trouble sleeping but around Christmas time it gets 50 times worse because he is very excited about the season, he's obsessed with Christmas, so between the holiday season and the flu medication messing with him he stopped sleeping more, until one day lack of sleep kicked in and he stayed up all night watching Gumby and other cartoons so he went to school the next day all wacked out his mind yelling about god knows what (he doesn't remember much of it) but at one point Lorin said "it's a wonder what Sleep Deprevation can do..) and here we are today "Sleep Deprevation" now we know that it's spelled Deprivation and not Deprevation but shut up! It's a known fact that spelling things wrong iz fuckin fresh, bitch.
How We Formed -
Well we used to be Deadly Productions and make computer games, really odd violent ones (in fact right now ScreamerClauz iz working on a Sleep Deprevation game! Woo Woo!) that everyone hated, we used to promote on other home-made video game sites and we met people but everyone hated our games still, they liked us but hated our games. So we started making music under the name Cyco Rabbit (see above for the history of the name) and offering to make music for there games, a few picked up the offer but the place we chatted got shut down so we was fucked, the only one we still talk iz Munch, so after the place shut down we decided to make music and nothing else...
How The Cartoon Voicez Started -
When we were little we used to hang out in my backyard killing grasshoppers in all sorts of weird fashions... so one day we decided to play scientist and were lab coats and act like we were "Studying" them, and we used those voices, they just kinda came out, they were hard to understand at first but the more we did them the better we became at them, and then we used to make little cartoons with a program called Spider-Man cartoon maker and add voices to them so we used those voices for that, so as an inside joke you'll hear us use them every once in a while, our main thing in the cartoons was to call Homie a Spider then have ScreamerClauz call him an octopus.... Don't ask...
Our Names
ScreamerClauz -
Back in the day my friend Stino lived across the street from me and we'd always try to start a band, so we decided to have stage names and shit so I picked mine as "The Alien Screaming Head" but Stino thought it would take to long to say so he's like just shorten it to Screamer, so I did and as the years passed the internet started to get big so we decided to live in the now and get computer. So I was setting up an email address and I tried to get Screamer but it was already taken, so I tried ScreamerDeath and for years that was my nick name but I started to get sick of it and changed it to stuff like ScreamerAlien, ScreamerKill, Screamer3000 and all that shit til one day I changed it to ScreamerClause, I kept that for a while but decided to remove the e and named my self ScreamerClaus then my whole changing s to z obsession started and here I am now mudda phucka ScreamerClauz, and sometimes Screamer Fucking Clauz, everyone needs a middle name!
Homie Elf -
Well when Homie moved up here he sat behind me and Stino on the bus and we'd already known him for a while and shit so we was cool with him and Stino asked something like whats your favorite band and he was like "Nine Inch Nails" and I was like ah hells yeah I love NIN, cause I was obsessed with them back then. And I was like what's your favorite song and he said refridagerator, and I was like what the fuck are you talking about? You're a god damn Homie aren't you!!! What he ment to say was ringfinger but mispronounced it so from then on we called him a Homie and the name stuck forever, even his family calls him that sometimes. So when we formed Sleep Deprevation and I became ScreamerClauz he was like " I wanna be an Elf! It makes sense, you're a Clauz and I'm an Elf" and I was like, alright then.
